The Auctioned Flesh
The last thing I remembered was the smell of damp soil and the distant hum of our atmospheric processors. I’d been tending the hydroponic gardens, my hands caked with nutrient-rich earth, the warm, filtered light a familiar comfort. Ria Veldhuis, just another laborer on a distant mining colony, minding her own fucking business. Twenty-six years old, fiery red hair usually pulled back in a messy braid, a smattering of freckles across my nose, and a surprisingly toned physique from hauling supply crates and working the soil. Nothing special. Or so I thought.
Then the sky had cracked open.
Not a natural storm, but a tear, a gaping maw in the heavens that disgorged sleek, dark ships. They moved too fast, too silently. No warnings. No time to run. One moment, I was humming a forgotten tune, wiping sweat from my brow, the next, the air was thick with a buzzing static, and a strange, sweet scent that made my head swim. A shadow fell over me. Before I could even scream, something slammed into my back. A jolt, paralyzing, searing, and then… black.
When I woke, it was to a symphony of screams – not mine, not yet – and the metallic clang of chains. My head throbbed. My mouth was dry, tasting of dust and terror. I was crammed into a cage, pressed against other humans, our faces pale, eyes wide with incomprehension and shared dread. Around us, the walls of the holding pen shimmered with an alien light, and the air thrummed with deep, guttural growls and clicks that vibrated in my bones.
This wasn't a prison. It was a holding facility, a pen for livestock. For us.
Panic clawed at my throat. My hands, still grimy from the garden, shook as I tried to push myself up, but my limbs felt heavy, weighted down by an invisible force. The others in the cage, a mix of men and women from my colony, were mostly silent now, slumped against the bars, their faces streaked with tears and dirt. Hope was a luxury none of us could afford.
Through the shimmering energy field that formed the front of our cage, I saw them. The aliens. They were a grotesque menagerie, each more terrifying than the last. Some were tall and slender, all sharp angles and multi-jointed limbs. Others were squat and brutish, with heavy hides and tusks. But all of them moved with an undeniable air of authority, an intrinsic dominance that made my stomach clench. We were nothing to them. Less than nothing.
A low, rumbling sound reverberated through the floor, growing louder, and then the energy field fizzled, retracting with a hiss. A hulking, four-armed alien, its skin a mottled green-grey, stomped forward. It clutched a whip-like implement, its tip sparking with faint blue energy. It didn’t speak, not in any language I understood. It just pointed a clawed finger at the first human in line – a young man from the cargo bay, his eyes already hollow.
He was dragged out, screaming, and then, without ceremony, shoved through an archway into a blinding light. The process repeated, one by one. Each departure was marked by a fresh wave of sick terror. My turn was coming. I knew it. Every frantic beat of my heart was a countdown.
“Please,” I whispered, my voice raw, barely audible over the alien cacophony. I hugged my knees, my mind racing, trying to find an escape, a loophole, anything. But there was nothing. Only endless alien walls, alien sounds, alien eyes.
When the green-grey alien pointed its claw at me, I froze. My fiery red hair, now matted and tangled, seemed to prickle on my scalp. My pale skin, usually hidden beneath sturdy work clothes, felt exposed, vulnerable. Every nerve ending screamed. I tried to back away, to burrow into the corner of the cage, but the invisible force field that held us in was gone, and the alien was fast. Its rough, chitinous hand closed around my upper arm, its grip like iron bands.
I shrieked, a raw, animal sound that tore from my chest. I kicked, twisted, fought with every ounce of my strength, but it was futile. My surprisingly toned physique, usually an asset in physical labor, was utterly useless against this creature’s sheer mass. It barely acknowledged my struggle, dragging me forward as if I weighed nothing more than a child’s toy.
I was shoved through the archway, the blinding light hitting my eyes, forcing them shut. When I opened them again, I wished I hadn't.
I was standing on a raised platform, a pedestal, in the center of what could only be an auction house. The air was thick with alien pheromones, a cloying, musky scent that made my head spin even more. Below me, stretching out into the vast, cavernous space, were hundreds of aliens. A sea of eyes, multi-faceted and singular, glowing and dark, all fixed on me.
They were assessing me. Weighing my worth. And I wasn’t currency. I was the goods.
A new alien stepped onto the platform beside me. Taller than the guard, its skin a smooth, iridescent blue. It had long, slender fingers, and its face was a complex network of ridges and sensitive tendrils that pulsed gently. This one carried a small, metallic device. Its tendrils shifted, and I felt a brief, sharp sting on my inner thigh.
A high-pitched, echoing voice, not from the blue alien, but amplified from somewhere above, filled the chamber, speaking in a rapid-fire succession of alien clicks and growls. I didn’t understand the words, but the intent was horrifyingly clear. I was being announced. Presented.
My heart hammered against my ribs, a frantic drumbeat of dread. My breath hitched in my throat. I wanted to cover myself, to disappear, but my hands were tied behind my back with invisible restraints, pulled taut against the small of my back, arching my chest slightly.
Then, the blue alien's long, delicate fingers went to the collar of my worn, dirt-smudged tunic. My eyes flew wide. “No!” I rasped, my voice barely a squeak. “Please, don’t.”
Its tendrils twitched, but it didn't hesitate. With a single, fluid movement, the fabric ripped, tearing down the front of my shirt, exposing my pale skin, the delicate curves of my breasts, and the lace of my simple bra beneath. A collective murmur rippled through the crowd below. My face burned with shame and a terror so profound it stole the air from my lungs.
It didn't stop there. Its fingers, cold and probing, unclasped my bra, pulling it aside. My breasts, small but firm, with nipples that had instantly hardened in the cold air and from sheer mortification, were bared to the alien masses. I squeezed my eyes shut, tears pricking at the corners. This wasn’t happening. This couldn’t be real.
But the cold, clinical touch on my skin was undeniably real. The blue alien’s fingers traced the line of my ribs, then moved lower, expertly unzipping my work pants, letting them fall to my ankles. I was left in nothing but my modest cotton panties, my legs exposed, my hips, my stomach. The untouched triangle between my legs, usually a private, sacred space, was now on blatant display, framed by the thin fabric.
The shame was a suffocating blanket. I was an object. Meat. Property.
The blue alien wasn't done. Its slender fingers lifted my leg, turning me slowly, presenting me from every angle. The high-pitched voice from above continued its rapid patter, punctuated by the occasional guttural roar or whistle from the crowd. I wanted to curl into a ball and vanish.
Then, the worst of it. The blue alien knelt, its head tilted, its tendrils vibrating as it examined the bare skin of my thighs. One of its long, thin fingers, tipped with a hard, black nail, traced the sensitive skin on my inner thigh, coming dangerously close to the thin cotton of my panties. It lingered there, the touch feather-light but utterly invasive, sending a shiver of disgust and something else – something terrifyingly prickly – up my spine.
It moved its hand to my buttocks, pressing lightly, assessing. I felt like a prize animal, poked and prodded for quality. My skin crawled. The air felt charged, thick with the scent of alien desire, mixed with my own mounting fear. I could feel their eyes, countless eyes, on my nakedness, dissecting me, evaluating me.
The blue alien finally stood, its tendrils pulsating faster. It said something in its own language, and the amplified voice echoed it, concluding with a loud, ringing sound.
The bidding had begun.
Aliens across the chamber raised their limbs, their appendages, emitting various clicks and whistles. The numbers, incomprehensible as they were, seemed to flash on a screen above the blue alien’s head, rising rapidly.
I was a prize. A female human. A breeder. That thought, cold and stark, struck me with the force of a physical blow. They weren't just buying a laborer. They were buying a womb. My womb.
My fear was absolute, paralyzing. But then, my eyes snagged on one specific alien, unlike any I'd seen before. It sat in a shadowed, elevated box, apart from the others. Massive. Reptilian. Its skin was a mosaic of obsidian scales, shifting faintly under the dim, exotic light of the chamber. Its shoulders were immense, its build undeniably powerful, even from this distance.
Its eyes. They were not multi-faceted or glowing. They burned like twin suns, a deep, molten gold, fixed on me with an intensity that made my breath catch. There was no casual assessment in that gaze, no fleeting interest. Only a heavy, possessive intent that felt like a physical weight pressing down on my exposed body. It was primal, ancient, and utterly terrifying.
A guttural growl, deep and resonant, ripped through the murmuring crowd. It silenced the other bidders. It wasn’t a language. It was a declaration.
The numbers on the screen above the blue alien’s head froze. The molten golden eyes of the reptilian alien did not waver from mine. He had outbid them all.
He had purchased me.
A fresh wave of terror, deeper and colder than anything I’d felt before, washed over me. This was it. This was my new reality. But even amidst the despair, as I stared into those burning golden eyes, a terrifying, unfamiliar flicker of something primal stirred deep within my gut. It was a perverse curiosity, a spark of the forbidden, utterly unwelcome, utterly horrifying. My body, in its absolute violation, seemed to acknowledge the immense, undeniable power of this creature. It was a betrayal from within.
The blue alien on the platform gave a slight bow to the reptilian one, then turned to me. Its long fingers returned to my hip, unfastening the invisible restraints that held my wrists behind my back. My arms fell to my sides, heavy, useless.
"Come," a voice boomed in my head, not spoken, but a direct neural translation, rough and demanding. It was the reptilian alien. K'tharr.
The blue alien tugged on my arm, leading me off the platform, past the stunned silence of the auction crowd, towards the shadowed box where K'tharr waited. Every step was a surrender, my nakedness a stark testament to my fate. My pale skin, my delicate curves, my entire being, was his. I was dragged away, away from the terrifying but familiar chaos of the auction, towards an even darker, more intimate terror. My life, my very body, was now his. And a tiny, traitorous part of me, a part I hated instantly, already recognized the overwhelming gravity of that fact. The true horror was only just beginning.
The Breeder's Embrace
The blue alien released my arm as we reached the shadowed box. K’tharr stood there, impossibly vast. Up close, his obsidian scales shimmered with flecks of deep purple, like a distant nebula trapped on his skin. His arms, thick as tree trunks, were folded across his immense chest. He was reptilian, yes, but not like any reptile I’d ever imagined. He was ancient power, distilled into muscle and raw, predatory grace. His molten golden eyes, burning with that terrifying possessive intent, bored into mine.
My blood ran cold. The neural translation from earlier echoed in my mind, a low rumble: Come.
The blue alien retreated, leaving me alone with him. I stood naked before him, my hands still stinging from the invisible restraints, my body trembling. Shame tried to consume me, but it was quickly overshadowed by a primal fear that made my every instinct scream to flee.
K’tharr unfolded his arms. He took a single, deliberate step forward, and the ground seemed to vibrate. His head tilted, observing me, the intricate movements of his powerful neck muscles visible beneath his scales. I watched him, mesmerized by terror, unable to move.
He reached for me. His hand, huge and scaled, with broad, blunt digits, moved with an unnerving slowness. I flinched, bracing for a blow, for pain. But his touch, when it came, was surprisingly gentle, almost exploratory, as his fingers brushed against the pale skin of my hip.
A jolt went through me, not pain, but a strange, unsettling warmth. His scales were cool against my skin, but beneath, I felt the sheer heat of his body radiating off him. My skin prickled.
